The formal evocation is chemical, the appearance is like a neo-futuristic architecture. This product has a unique feature: it has a porous glass filter that allows coffee filtering without using the usual paper filter.

The product is made up of several elements: a jug designed to serve ready coffee at the bottom, the central body to contain the coffee, the porous filter, a lid that can also be used for the jug and a steel tool to make pressure.on the coffee. In this way coffee is gradually filtered so it creates a rain effect. That's the reason for its naming.

PHIL Rain is a tribute to the history of Blueside, the company that produces the collection. Blueside Design was born from Steroglass Srl, a historic Italian company that manufactures equipment for chemical and pharmaceutical laboratories.

Preparation: Phil Rain doesn’t use paper filters. It is unique for its porous glass separator, which acts as a filter.  So add medium grind coffee (a specialty, obviously. Max 18 grams.) and pour in water at about 93°C in the upper chamber. When it is full, use the steel tool to make a slight pressure and filter all the liquid. Coffee will be ready in about 2/5 minutes.
